The Talos International team is comprised of individuals with backgrounds in Wireless Communication, C4ISR Systems, Information Technology, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Test and Evaluation, Training, and Support Services. Our team has significant international experience installing systems where limited infrastructure or resources exist, and in semi-permissive environments where discrete low visibility is required. The team’s experience in system design, installation, and testing has been critical to the successful commissioning and sustainment of Wireless Communication and C4ISR Systems in Southeast and Southwest Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. We fully understand the importance of operational security, and our customers’ requirements to protect critical infrastructure.
The U.S. Government views the sale, export, and re-transfer of defense articles and defense services as an integral part of safeguarding U.S. national security and furthering U.S. foreign policy objectives. The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), in accordance with 22 U.S.C. 2778-2780 of the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Parts 120-130), is charged with controlling the export and temporary import of defense articles and defense services covered by the United States Munitions List (USML).
Our management team has experience working Commercial, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of State funded programs, while maintaining compliance with the EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and FCPA guidelines. Talos International is registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and may export or temporarily import defense articles, or furnish defense services. We understand Talos International and our subcontractors are subject to stringent government regulations and guidelines, and we have compliance and training programs in place to assist in effectively managing compliance.
Steve Wells, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Wells is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 39 years of corporate, civil service, and military experience serving as Chief Executive Officer, President, Director, Program Manager, and Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) Chief Warrant Officer. He has managed multiple concurrent international multi-billion dollar cost-type IDIQ contracts, and implemented numerous cross-functional teams that successfully improved coordination and innovation across divisions, met performance objectives, and reduced cost. As the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wells is responsible for developing the high-level strategy, executing long- and short-term business plans, implementing internal controls and compliance, and maintaining high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever Talos International conducts business. Mr. Wells has a Master’s Degree in Business.
Chris Hansen, President
Mr. Hansen is a highly accomplished executive with over 38 years of corporate and military experience serving as a Director, Program Manager, and Naval Officer. He has operations and financial experience managing multimillion dollar programs with profit and loss responsibility, maintaining staff levels and knowledge-skills-attributes, and motivating employees. As the President, Mr. Hansen is responsible for implementing the corporate strategy, company revenue targets, labor utilization goals, and overall management of day-to-day operations, resources, and customer satisfaction. Mr. Hansen has a Master in Global Business Management, and Program Management Professional certification.
Steve Schechter, RMO of Construction
Mr. Schechter has built a reputation for exceeding customer expectations and providing service with integrity. With over 39 years of industry experience, Steve brings a multifaceted background in construction, manufacturing, and project management. He has held a Class B General Contractors license since 1987, with experience delivering on multiple contracts, while simultaneously managing five construction projects and crews. As RMO of Construction, Mr. Schechter is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing all day-to-day activities, quality control, and work site safety. He served in and was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army and Air Force.
Mike Rush, Management Team
Mr. Rush had a distinguished career in Special Operations as a Navy SEAL Warrant Officer assigned to and working with elite Special Mission Units. After military service he served as a Senior Operations Planner for four years to the FBI Hostage Rescue Team where he was engaged in numerous sensitive and challenging national missions. Mr. Rush served as Vice President for Operations at BSC USA where he was responsible for the training and deployment of over 1800 personnel in support of U.S. Government and commercial programs for 3 years. Mike’s broad experience in mission-critical programs and executive level management in national security matters will greatly benefit our clients as he supports strategic growth initiatives. Mike is a Managing Partner at Spartan Solutions and he holds a TS clearance with the Intelligence Community.
Ronald L. King, Management Team
Mr. King is a Managing Partner at Spartan Solutions; President of Windy River, LLC a company that conducts aviation engineering flight test projects; and co-founder of the Momentum-Foundation, Inc., a non-profit foundation providing world-leading aviation engineering, research & development, training and education, and a wide range of other aviation and security services. Ron holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and has flown over 20,000 hours in over 75 different aircraft. He has extensive experience operating helicopters and fixed wing aircraft worldwide. He has lived in Central America, coordinated numerous aviation projects throughout the area, and remains tied to the region through work with various agricultural and business activities. Mr. King’s experience working in the private business sector, medical sector, academia research institutions, international groups, and the finance sector make him well suited to significantly contribute to Talos International’s management team. Ron had a distinguished career in the US Army serving as Commander, Deputy Director, MACOM Aviation Officer, engineering test pilot, and pilot – retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. King earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, from Saint Martin’s College and is a graduate from numerous military training courses as the U.S. Army Rotary Wing Pilot Qualification Course, 1968; University of Southern California Aeronautical Safety Course, 1972 and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, 1987.
